Zalinor Banks, affectionately known as "Tic-Tac" peacefully passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009 at his home after an extended illness. He was born October 4, 1947 to Annie Mae and Willie Lee Banks.
He was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Board and was a retired employee of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Remaining to honor his memory are his wife, Lucille; one son, Zalinor Banks, Jr.; three daughters, Tiwana Banks, Toshia Simmons, and Carlette Ewell; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Iamissky (Emma) Banks, Gilbert (Wanda) Banks, and Wilbert Banks; three aunts; a devoted aunt and uncle, Josephine and John Howell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, July 25, 2009 from the Friendship Baptist Church, 1317 N. Cherry St. with Reverend Stacy L. Frazier officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from Noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
