Obituary
Winston-Salem- YaShine "Ya Ya" Kamal Brown was called home on February 13, 2009 at the Durham Regional Hospital in Durham, NC after a battle of a brief illness.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy A. Brown Wilson; his grandfather, Rexford L. Brown; and a niece, Zariah Gnash.
Surviving are his father, Charlie Campbell of Brooklyn, NY; his loving grandparents, Elder Nancy L. Riggins and Charles Riggins; sisters, LaShannon N. Brown, Tanika Brown, Tanja Brown, and Shalanta Wilson; brother and best friend, Almel K. Brown and brother, Stephon Wilson, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC; two sons, YaShine K. Brown, Jr. of California and Deaundra Ingram of Winston-Salem, NC; three nieces; seven nephews; three uncles; and a host of other family and friends.
He will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Friday, February 20, 2009 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Anthony Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
