Obituary

Mr. Woodrow Wade Bruton entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 11, 2015. He was the son of the late James and Helen Bruton. He was a loving father and grandfather. A lover of the outdoors, fishing, and The Dallas Cowboys; he was retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company.

Early in his life he met, fell in love with, and married his lifelong sweetheart Patsy Diane Ingram. This union brought about two daughters, Sharetha (Gary) Mace of Greensboro, NC and Sharnetta (Mark) Dennis of Charlotte, NC; three grandsons, Gary II, Patrick Wade, & Timothy Mace all of whom he was very proud of and loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his wife; mother and father; sister, Mae; and brothers, Bobby & Steve.

In addition to his daughters, sons-in-law, and grandsons, Woodrow is survived by his five sisters, Linda (Harry) Andrews, Tryphoshia Penn, Joan Atwater, Janet Atwater, and Natalie Higgins; two brothers, JT Brewton and Billie Awater all of Winston Salem, NC; and a host of devoted cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, January 17, 2015 at New Beginnings Christian Church, 2920 NW Greenway Ave. with Dr. Nelson McCall officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 12noon on Saturday at the Church.
