Wiseman Dobson, Jr., affectionately known to friends and family as "WC", was born to Wiseman, Sr. and Bertha Dobson on April 18, 1941 in Winston-Salem, NC.  He departed life on Monday, November 6, 2017.  WC attended Carver High School and worked at RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company for 35 years.

He was a beloved member of the Piney Grove Community and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church where he served as a member of the Deacon Board and Male Chorus.

WC enjoyed fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys.  He was an avid bowler and a member of a local bowling team.  He loved his many hats and working in his yard and garden.  His greatest loves were his family and wife of 54 years, Mary.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his 5 brothers, Melvin, Ted, Alphonso, Alfred, and Ben.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Mary Dobson; children, Wiseman (Denise), Beverly, and Kedrick Dobson all of the city; five grandchildren, Sha and DaVon (Lysette) Coleman, Brittany and Jordan Dobson, and LaTisha Brooks; five great-grandchildren, Jaiden Coleman, Quamain, Bryant, Jr., Jahmari, and Amarie Brooks; three sisters, Remale Summer, Odessa (Eugene) Hanes, and Yvonne (Jack) Jackson; two brothers, Bernard (Donna) Dobson and Stephen (Candace) Dobson; and a host of other relative and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. James Linville officiating.  Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Tuesday at the Church.
