On November 13, 2014, Winnie Morris, 80, was called to eternal rest and peace when her "Loving Angels" surrounded her and quietly carried her home. She was the daughter of the late Johnny Morris and Sylvania Morris. Born in Chester, South Carolina she moved to Winston-Salem at the age of thirteen.

She attended Living Word of God Apostolic Church where she served as a faithful and dedicated servant, serving as the Church Mother, President of the Pastor's Aide Committee and Church Choir, until failing health.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Morris was preceded in death by her son, Lee Floyd Morris "Squash"; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

She leaves to cherish her memories her two daughters, Faith Morris of Miami, FL and Barbara Morris (Fiancé Pastor Terry D. Leak) of Stockbridge, GA; one son, Barron Morris (Angela Morris) of Kernersville, NC; one Goddaughter, Betty Laster of Miramar, FL; seven beautiful grandchildren whom she loved, Bryan Morris, Leisa Morris, Dwight Matkins, April Morris, Britne´ LaMar, "Little Miss Olivia Morris", Vondell Davis, and Dominique Davis; two great grandchildren, "Little Miss Aleeya Morris and "Little Master Bryan Morris"; a special loving and devoted friend and caregiver, Dock C. Dodd; three lifelong Sisters/Friends, Agatha Mansel, Hattie Barr, and Judy Sims Martin; a loving and devoted CAN, Mary Austin; and a host of nephews, nieces, family and many friends.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 1:00pm Friday, November 21, 2014 at Living Word of God Apostolic Church with Bishop Langston McCarther officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12 Noon until 1pm on Friday at the Church.
