Wilson A. Wharton, Jr. passed away peacefully Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center.
He was a graduate of Atkins High School. Wilson was a retired employee of the City of W-S Streets Division.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wilson and Ruby Wharton; brother, Charles Wharton; and daughter, Natalie Jill Wharton.
Wilson is survived by his wife of 34 years Brenda Rivers Wharton; sons, Calvin Coleman, Christopher Wharton, and Cassius Gwyn; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Linda Coaxum, Glenda Wharton, and Adrienne (Mark) Williams; sister-in-law, Nadine Hosch; brothers-in-law, Dr. Larry Little and Charles Rivers; and a host of relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 12noon Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Friday at the Chapel.
