Ms. Willie Mae Petree Hall, 68 died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center. She was born October 13, 1940 to Mr. Willie Ray and Marie Petree.
She was employed at Salem Terrace, formerly Meadowbrook Terrace of Winston-Salem. She was a faithful member of Middle Fork Christian Church D.O.C. where she served on the CWF and the Usher Board until her health began to fail.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald G. Petree, Sr. and Lewis E. Petree; and one sister, Carolyn Gwyn.
She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Casonya "Kitty" Kelly; two granddaughters, Montrea and Shanise Fleming; two great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; four brothers, Teddy W. Petree, Sr. (Jean), Dennis L. Petree (Brendora), Glenn D. Petree and Julius "Charlie Brown" Petree all of Winston-Salem, NC; two sisters, Barbara Jean McKenzie of Charlotte, NC and Odessa P. Page (Sylvester) of Winston-Salem, NC; two sisters-in-law, Lille Mae Petree and Mary Ann Petree McCormick of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, a special niece and caregiver, Maria "Cherry" Petree; great-nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, April 27, 2009 from the Middle Fork Christian Church D.O.C. with Reverend Donna Maree' officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Monday at the Church.
