On Thursday, February 11, 2010 Mr. Willie Herman Patrick, Sr. 61, entered into eternal rest. He was born December 6, 1948 in Alamance County, NC to Emmaline and Herman George Patrick. He was a 1967 graduate of Carver High School. Prior to his declining health he was employed with Georgia Pacific in Charlotte, NC. He loved being in the house of the Lord and was a member of East Side Church of Christ. He was passionate and a fan for the "Washington Redskins."
He was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Faye Patrick Lowery.
Willie is survived by a devoted daughter, Sharon (James) Johnson of Winston-Salem, NC; two sons, Deacon Willie (Amy) Patrick, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC and Willie Patrick, II of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Sean Mosley, Keeshon Patrick, Saiq Patrick, Schaccoa Hoover, and Eryka Lackey; he was cared for by his loving mother, Emmaline Patrick and a very devoted sister of the home, Shirley Ann Patrick; other sisters, Mae (Mayo) Reeves and Louise (Calvin) Austin; three brothers, Elder Raymond (Beatrice) Patrick, Sr., Carl (Alfreda) Patrick, and James Patrick of the home; his former wife, Sandra Patrick; a special niece, Aalyiah Williams; two special nephews, Tra'veon Patrick and Christopher Lawson, II; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A homegoing celebration will be held at 1pm Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at East Side Church of Christ 536 Barbara Jane Avenue W-S, NC. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from Noon until 1pm on Tuesday at the Church.
