Mr. Willie Frank O'Neal, Sr. was born to Herschel and Magnolia O'Neal on April 30, 1943 in Dublin, GA. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC and was a 1962 graduate of B.D. Perry High School in East Dublin, GA.
He retired from R.J. Reynolds after 29 dedicated years of employment, as well as Forsyth Technical Community College.
He peacefully slept away to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at his home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandsons, Dejuan O'Neal and Calvin O'Neal; sisters, Eula Pearl Terry and Hattie Mae Taylor; and his brother, Johnny O'Neal.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 44 years, Mildred F. O'Neal; three children, Pamela, Willie, Jr. and Patricia (Jermaine Bryant); seven grandchildren, Meg, Lekeya, Breanna, Rodney, Willie, III., Montrice, and Jermaine, Jr.; one great-grandchild, Destiny Hill all of Winston-Salem, NC; sisters, Estoria (Joe, Sr.) Smith, Corine Manning, Florine King, Doreatha (Felton) Coley of Winston-Salem, NC, Ethel Thomas, Dorothy Wells, and Janice Wiggins of Dublin, GA; brothers, Eugene (Ella Mae) O'Neal, Herschel (Ruthie) O'Neal, and Reverend Frank (Leola) O'Neal all of Dublin, GA; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday, April 2, 2010 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 916 E. 12th Street Winston-Salem, NC with Reverend Dr. Paul A. Lowe, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until 1pm on Friday at the Church.
