Mr. Willie "Rock" Neal, Jr., 75, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011 at his residence. He was born May 23, 1935 to Willie Neal, Sr. and Rosetta Evans in Lando , SC.

Mr. Neal worked for McLean Trucking and Parrish Tire Company, and then retired from Roadway Trucking Company. He was a member of Hanes CME Church , where he served on the Usher Board, Men's Chorus, Trustee Board, and Pastor's Aid. He was a member of the Ionic Lodge #72 PHA, King Solomon Consistory No. 64, Sethos Temple No. 170, and Winston Lake Golf Club.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Willie Curtis Neal and step-mother, Essie Boyd Neal.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jessie Gaston Neal; two sons, Harold Craig (Rose) Neal and Dennis Carlton (Beverly) Neal; two sisters, Rosa White of Washington, DC and Sadie Pye-Jumper of Lando, SC; two brothers, Shaw (Ann) Boyd of Charlotte, NC and John "Tommy" Neal of Lando, SC; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren; daugther-in-law, Jackie Bitting; ex-daugther-in-law, Robbie Neal; 12 sisters-in-law; nine bothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Friday, February 11, 2011 at Hanes CME Church with the Rev. Clarence Cox, eulogist. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens . Family visitation will be held from 12 noon until 1 pm Friday at the church. Lodge rites will take place at 6 pm Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Russell Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Hanes CME Church and Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
