On Friday, January 26, 2007, God called home his angel, Mother Willie Mae McArthur.
Mrs. McArthur was born on January 11, 1923 to Irene Barnett and John McArthur in Winston-Salem , NC .
Mrs. McArthur was educated in the Winston-Salem / Forsyth County and was a dedicated member of Ambassador Cathedral.
She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Anthony McArthur, Sr. (Margaret); her daughter, Valerie Rowles of Suffolk, VA; four grandchildren, Anthony McArthur, Jr. (Angelita), Christopher McArthur (Diane), Jonathan Rowles, and Hillary Rowles; two great-grandchildren, Anthony D. McArthur and Tatyana McArthur; a special niece, Chandra Sherrill; and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 12:20 PM at Ambassador Cathedral with Bishop F.D. Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park , Rural Hall , NC . The family visitation will be held from 12 NOON until 12:30 PM on Thursday at the Church. The family may be contacted at the home of her son, Anthony McArthur at 897 Old Hollow Road , Winston-Salem , NC .
