Willie B. Marshall, 75, died on August 30, 2013 at Springwood Care Center. Willie was raised by his beloved grandmother, Frances Marshall. He was educated in the local school system. Willie joined New Bethel Baptist Church in 1997, under the leadership of Dr. Jerry Drayton. He was an active member of the church's Laymen League.



He retired from US Airways, after 31 years of service. Willie's retirement consisted of fishing on the coasts of NC and SC, listening to great Blues/Jazz music, and looking at old Western movies. His greatest pleasure in life was frying fish for his family and friends.



His survivors include a loving wife, Linda Norwood Marshall; his children, Willie H. (Sally) Marshall, Frances Marshall, Willie T. Marshall, and Sandra M. (Ronald) Neal; Willie was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; he also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends.



A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 12:00noon at Evergreen Cemetery on New Walkertown Rd.
