Willie Brown Malloy, Sr. was born to the late Johnny Benton and Hattie Simmons Malloy on August 22, 1942. He departed this life on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center after an extended illness.

He was of the Baptist Faith and graduated from Paisley High School. Willie served in the United States Army and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco.

Willie is survived by his loving and devoted family, his wife, Thomasine Malloy of the home; one daughter, Jennifer Malloy (Brandon Tomlinson); two sons, Michael Adams, Sr. and Willie Malloy, Jr.; two grandchildren, Michael Adams, Jr. and Nylaja Tomlinson-Malloy; one sister, Doris Barr; two brothers Johnnie (Helen) Malloy and Robert (Brenda) Malloy all of Winston Salem, NC. Willie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, January 16, 2012 at Benbow Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, East Bend, NC. Interment will follow in the Benbow Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1pm on Monday at the Church.
The family cortege will assemble and leave from 5324 Macedonia Road, East Bend.
