Mr. Willie Edward Larkin was born July 20, 1931 to the late Precious and Viola Johnson Larkin. God called him home on Sunday July 26, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Larkin attended Mt. Moriah School. He was an honorable veteran of the US Army where he received several medals. He was a graduate of the Radio-Television Training Association of New York, NY in 1954. He retired from RJR Tobacco Co. in 1987 with 32 years of service. Mr. Larkin was well known throughout the community as the television man.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Isaac Larkin; a sister, Annie Johnson; and a son-in-law, Patrick Dobson.

He leaves to cherish his memory sons, Freddie (Gwendolyn) Larkin, Larry Carson, and Donnell (Beverly) McDaniel; daughters, Willie Mae Blakes and Linda Dobson; a stepson, Irvin H. Mack; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Tommie Larkin and Johnny Larkin; 3 sisters, Carrie B. Smith, Ida C. Corker, and Hattie Larkin; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Donald Keaton officiating. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Thursday at the Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date in Conyers Cemetery, Climax, GA.
