Willie Frank Mainor, Jr. was born May 27, 1971 in Clinton, NC to the parents of Brenda Bennett Mainor Oates of Winston-Salem, NC and the late Willie Frank Mainor, Sr. formerly of Clinton, NC.  On August 30, 2024 our Lord and Savior decided it was time to call Willie to join him in his heavenly home.

He attended public schools in Sampson County, receiving his diploma form Clinton High School.  Willie furthered his education at Forsyth Tech in Winston-Salem, NC.  He also attended various churches of his choice as a God-fearing man.

Willie was a hardworking father who insured he provided for his family.  Willie pursued several career opportunities prior to working with the City of Winston-Salem or nearly 20 years as a transportation operator in the maintenance department.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Christine Mainor, Pender Sparrow, Leroy and Kelly Odell Kornegay Bennett; one brother, Terry Mainor; one sister, Stephanie Oates; three uncles; and six aunts.

Willie leaves to cherish loving memories his mother, Brenda Oates of Winston-Salem, NC; six children, Michael (Marie) Mainor, Jalissa (Juwan) Mainor, Matthew (Bryana) Mainor, Anthony Mitchell along with his mother, Jennifer Boyles of Charleston, SC, Seth Jones along with his mother, Megan Jones of Winston-Salem, NC, and Sa'id Gamble along with his mother, Raquel James of Winston-Salem, NC; one grandson, Kai Mainor and soon to be granddaughter; eight siblings, Anthony (Erin) Mainor, Tarrick (Nicole) Cox, Arrick Cox, Lisa Pauling, Sabrina (Zack) Oates, Ebony Oates, Bennie Oates, and Tyki Lawson Oates; his girlfriend, Bobbie Hansley; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones; and special love to Agnes & Walter Paulings who helped raise Willie and his brother, Anthony.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 2:30pm until 3:00pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
