Mr. Willie Mack Jackson, son of the late Annie Mumford Jackson and Ben Jackson, was born on May 15, 1925 in Darlington, South Carolina. On Wednesday, May 25, 2016, he made his transition into eternal life at the Forsyth Medical Center.
Mr. Jackson was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Mr. Willie Mack Jackson retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after 36 years of service. Mr. Jackson was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in World War II, and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Loree Butler Jackson; and his beloved daughter, Brenda Jackson.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Irma Jackson of Winston-Salem, NC; three grandchildren, Lorenda Jackson, Karla (James) Paul, and Terri (Murray) Miller; six great-grandchildren, Donovan Jackson, Kelsey Jackson, Lauren Jackson, Narisha Paul, Jakeana Paul, and RaKeisha Glenn; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Wilbert Blandon, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Wednesday at the Church.
