Elder Willie Hamilton was born to the late Frank Robinson, Sr. and Estella Hamilton in Beaufort, SC. He passed away April 21, 2013. He was educated and graduated from St. Helena High School, Beaufort, SC. Upon relocating to New York, NY in 1960, he was employed as a construction worker until 1976. After moving to this city, he was employed with RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company and retired in 2004 after 29 years of service.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 50 years, Emma Jean Hamilton of the home; one son, William Bernard (Silouette) Hamilton of Clemmons, NC; a daughter, Tanya Yvette (William, Jr.) Stradford of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Raven Hamilton of the city, Danielle Stradford and William Sean Stradford both of Charlotte, NC, Janae' T. Brown of Greensboro, NC, and Jaye' B. Harrison of the city; one great-granddaughter, Mariah; three brothers, Isaac (Marguerite) Hamilton of Beaufort, SC, George (Helen) Williams and Richard Robinson both of Maryland; three sisters, Frances Grant, Evelena Gadsden both of Lady's Island, SC, and Gardenia Simmons-White of St. Helena Island, SC; two sisters-in-law, Frances Flow of the city and Marion Robinson of Maryland; one brother-in-law, George Ladson of St. Helena Island, SC; an aunt, Ms. Alma Barber of the city; a host of Godsons and Daughters, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 4129 Northampton Dr. W-S, NC with Rev. Dr. Nathan Scovens officiating. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC. The family will receive friends from 10am until 11am on Saturday at the Church.
