"The Lord has truly blessed me to have had a great life." On Wednesday, May 4, 2011 Mae Hale took her last journey in life. A graduate of Anderson High School class of 1969, she retired from GMAC after 40 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Emma Fennell, Sr.; her husband, Willie Hale, Jr.; and brother, George Fennell, Jr.
She leaves to cherish memories one sister, Ethel F. Brown; a devoted sister-in-law, Shirley Fennell; nieces, Charlene (Alvester) Barren and Lisa Fennell both of Winston-Salem, NC, Charlotte (Jimmy) Campbell of Raleigh, NC, and Carolyn Parker of Chicago, IL; nephews, Charles (Andrea) Brown, Jr. and Anthony (Tomika) Fennell both of Winston-Salem, NC, and Robert (Tina) Fennell of Colorado Springs, CO; a devoted cousin, Anthony Moore of Winston-Salem, NC; other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12noon until 1pm Monday, May 9, 2011 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel followed by a private graveside service.
