Mr. Willie Isaac Davidson, Sr. was born on September 26, 1942 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Henry and Verdie Davidson.  He departed this life Sunday, February 3, 2019, surrounded by his family.

He was a native of Forsyth County where he retired from Wake Forest University after 35 years as Assistant Superintendent of Grounds.

He was known as "Big Willie."  He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran.  He was a family man and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories his devoted and lovely wife of 57 wonderful years, Louise Raysor Davidson; 2 children, Mary "Puddin" Williams (Winfred "Pappy") and Rev. Willie I. Davidson, Jr. (Frances); 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Friday, February 8, 2019 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Samuel P.L. Hickerson officiating. Entombment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Friday at the Church.
