On Thursday, July 31, 2008 William A. Switzer passed away unexpectedly at his home. He was born August 5, 1944 to James Switzer and Louise Switzer. He grew up in Winston-Salem, NC and he was a retired concrete finisher and plumber by trade.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted mother, Louise Switzer; two devoted sisters, Mary Anderson and Jacqueline Peurifoy; one brother, Vernell Switzer; a brother-in-law, Fred Anderson; a sister-in-law, Annie Switzer; two devoted nephews, Ricky and Marshay Peurifoy; a loving and devoted niece, Jacqueline Monique Peurifoy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Noon Tuesday, August 5, 2008 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend James R. Clyburn officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until Noon on Tuesday at the Chapel.
