William Charles Simons, Jr., a.k.a. "Will", 16, passed away unexpectedly on November 18, 2018.  He was born on December 28, 2001 in Winston-Salem, NC, the son of Penny Barr and William Charles Simons, Sr.  Will was admired by his brother, Corey Simons and his sister, Ashley Simons.  He was a member of New Direction Movement Cathedral Church.

Will was a student at North Forsyth High School and a former student of Ronald Reagan High School where he excelled in football.  He was a former member of the Pfafftown Packers.  He excelled in basketball with the Winston Salem Mavericks.  Will was employed by KFC (Liberty Street).  His fulltime job was providing SECURITY for his mother and ALL of his female cousins.  Will was known by many and a true friend to his BROTHERS.

Will received many awards and accolades during his sports career. But on November 18, 2018, he received the ultimate award, he received his WINGS.  "SOAR WILL, WE LOVE YOU!!"

Will is survived by his mother of the home, Penny Barr and brother, Corey Simons, his father, William Charles Simons, Sr. and sister, Ashley Simons.  He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Barbara Barr; one niece, Cali Young; several uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, November 23, 2018 at Greater Church.  Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Friday at the Church.
