Obituary
Mr. William "Willie" D. Roper of 5801 Brookway Drive departed this earthly life on Monday, October 10, 2011.
Mr. Roper retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company and became a successful entrepreneur.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Roper; three daughters, TaJuana (Carrius) Huling, Willette (Norberto) Cabrera, both of the city and Renee (Boris) McCallum of Orlando, FL; sister-in-law, Elois (James) Young; two brothers-in-law, William (Gwendolyn) Farmer and Elijah Hunter; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Leroy Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Saturday at the Chapel.
