Mr. William Henry Miller, Jr. departed this life on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the age of 66, in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born to the late Carolyn Miller Matthews and William Henry Miller, Sr. on December 17, 1957. He grew up in the Morningside community. He attended Hill Middle School where he met his wife Henri Smith Miller and graduated from Parkland High School. He also continued his education at UNC Asheville.

William spent many years working in healthcare at Winston-Salem Charter Behavioral Health System, Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and Brighton Gardens Assisted Living. William also worked at a local bottling company, Mountain Park Spring Water, and served as their Vice President. He had a passion for architecture, photography, and literature. He was a lifelong learner and always willing to share his knowledge with his loved ones. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and was dependable to a fault.

William leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife; 3 children, William (Mayumi) Miller, III, Nigel (Lonjezo) Miller, and Jasmine (Jamie) DeGeare; 4 grandchildren, Syrus Miller, William Miller, Jaxon DeGeare, and Marlee Miller; 2 sisters, Sabrina (Delton) Green and Angel Matthews; 2 brothers, Raymond Miller and Greg (Janice) Miller; 3 aunts, Blondell Alspaugh, Yolander Bailey, and Dorothy (Fred) Tanner; 1 uncle, Harold Miller, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Monday September 16, 2024 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from11:30am until 12:00pm on Tuesday at the Chapel.
