William Jeffery Hardy, "Pinky", passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at KB Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born April 12, 1958 in W-S, NC to Russell Davis and Annie H. Davis.
He was a loving father and grandfather and worked as a cook for over 30 years at the Lighthouse Restaurant.
In addition to his father, William was preceded in death by his grandmother, Annie Bell Hardy; brother, Johnny Hardy; grandson, Calvin Wallace, Jr.; and his companion of over 20 years, Stephanie Samuels.
William is survived by his daughter, Rovenia West; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; "his boy" as he referred to him, DeCarlos West; his mother, Annie Davis; four siblings, Milles Hardy, Mahalia & Merita Davis, and D Lennell Davis; two aunts, Iveria H. Shuler and Mattie Hardy; one uncle, Richard "Uncle Red" Davis; 19 nephews and nieces; 35 great-nephews and nieces; and a host of cousins, other relatives, many friends, and his best friend since grade school, Michael McCarrol.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, April 13 ,2016 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Mark Mack officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Wednesday at the Chapel.
