Mr. William McClain Fulp, Sr., affectionately known as "Bill", was called home on January 17, 2021. He was born on August 8, 1949 to Preston and Janie Fulp, Sr. He was a graduate of East Forsyth High School. After high school he worked at Lee's Carpet for a period of time and later worked for RJ Reynolds until his retirement.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Janie Fulp, Sr.; two brothers, Donald Fulp and Garry Fulp; and his grandmother, Maybelle Mitchell.
Bill was known as a character saying something funny to make you laugh. Family and friends alike have a story to tell from their encounter with him.
He leaves to cherish his memories his son, William (April) Fulp, Jr. of Mocksville, NC; daughter, Yolanda (Johnnie) Gee of Winston-Salem, NC; eight grandchildren, Desmond, Will, Makayla, Quentin, Deirdre, Deandre, Christina, and Brelon; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rev. Preston (Wanda) Fulp, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC and Jerry Fulp of Walnut Cove, NC; three sisters, Nancy Fulp of Walnut Cove, NC, MaryJane Fulp of Greensboro, NC, and Francene (Donnie) Hatcher of Rural Hall, NC; two aunts, Ella Mae Fulp and Alice Manns; one uncle, Johnny Manns; sister-in-law, Betty Fulp; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
A viewing will be held from 1:00pm-5:00pm Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Russell Funeral Home. Private services Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
