Mr. William Dunlap, 57, departed this life Monday, July 28, 2015 at his residence. He was born in High Point, NC on September 30, 1957 to Paul Dunlap, Sr. and Willie Mae Strickland Dunlap.

William attended the local Guilford County Schools in High Point and graduated from High Point Central High School. In 1991 Mr. Dunlap moved to W-S, NC. He lived in the Castle Heights Community with his family for over 20 years. He was a friendly neighbor lovingly known as Uncle William. He joined Great Commission Community Church and was an active member serving on the Usher Board, Men's Ministry, and the GC3 C.A.R.E.S Ministry. He helped with the recovery bible study, banquet setup and feeding the homeless community monthly. William Dunlap dearly loved his devoted nephew, Joshua Miles and his niece, Jasmine Miles whom he raised as his own children since 2000.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memories three sisters, Margaret (Robert) Bennett, Bernita Nwawueze and Vanessa Lewis; one aunt, Juanita Wright of High Point, NC; special nephews, Joshua Miles and Robert Bennett, Jr; special nieces, Jasmine Miles and Crystal Stinson; a devoted friend, Sandra Miles-Floyd; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Apostle Gloria M. Samuels officiating. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Tuesday at the Chapel.
