Mr. William Bennett "Benny" Conrad was born March 10, 1953 to the late John Alex and Doreatha Conrad in Clemmons, NC.  He passed Monday, July 3, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Cancer Center following a period of illness.

Mr. Conrad was a retired employee of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company with 43 years of dedicated service.  He was baptized at Capernaum Church of Christ at an early age.  He was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System.

He touched the hearts of many with his loving and giving spirit.   He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Alexander "June" Conrad; and his sister, Sarah Louise Conrad.

"Benny" leaves to cherish precious memories and the legacy of his love to his wife of forty-three years, Gwendolyn Delois Conrad; five children, Jeffrey Pearson, Tonya (Willis) Moore, Benita Conrad, Dwayne Broadway, and Erica Conrad; twenty grandchildren; one great-grandchild;  two brothers, Samuel (Brenda) Conrad and Michael (Inell) Conrad, Sr.; three sisters, Barbara (Walter) Miles, Roberta (Lonnie) Blue, and Doris (Johnny) Flemming;  eight sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; two aunts, Frances Flow and Lillian Young; best friends, Albert (Beverly) Walker and Chester Myers; a special niece, Vickie Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, July 10, 2017 at Warners Chapel Church of Christ, 8999 Lasater Rd. Clemmons, NC.   Interment will follow in the Capernam Church of Christ Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm on Monday at the Church.
