Mr. William Daniel Carr, 80 of Salisbury, NC passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the WG Hefner VA Medical Center after months of declining health. He was born August 9, 1930 to John Robert and Maggie Carr. He attended school in Duplin County and joined the military after high school.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Carr; and two sisters, Ruby Williams and Norma Lee Baker.
Surviving are his daughter, Angela Carr (William) Patterson; five grandchildren, Timothy Daniel McQueen, Brian Carr McQueen, Crystal McQueen, Courtney Patterson, and Lavette Patterson-Evans; his siblings, Adele Keith of Rocky Mount, NC, Thelma Taylor of Wallace, NC, Bishop Amos (Milicent) Carr of Hampton, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10am Friday, April 29, 2011 at the WG Hefner VA Medical Center Chapel with Chaplain officiating. Interment will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC with full military honors.
