Obituary
Mr. William C. Cannon, affectionately known as "WC", 67 passed from this life on Sunday, June 24, 2007. He was born to Mr. Alan Cason Cannon and Mrs. Willie Bell Johnson Martin, on February 2, 1940 in Wrightsville, GA.
Mr. Cannon retired from K&W Cafeterias in Charlotte, NC and was a faithful member of James Grove Baptist Church in Wrightsville, GA.
Mr. Cannon was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Cannon leaves to cherish his memories a brother, Willie C. (Judy) Martin of Winston-Salem, NC; two sisters, Bonnie (Charles) Thomas of Winston-Salem, NC; Tressie (Walter) Gregory of Wrightsville, GA; a life long friend John Kent Rucker, a devoted niece Sylvia Byrd both of Winston-Salem; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, June 30, at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Claude D. Thomas, officiating. Family visitation will be held from 11:30 am until 12 noon, at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, 706 Barbara Jane Avenue.
"The family would like to thank the staff of Forsyth Memorial Hospital for their expert care and loving treatment given to Mr. Cannon."
