Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend has gone to be an angel with his Heavenly Father. Mr. William Leverne Campbell, affectionately known as "Onion" of 1248 Pleasant Street passed away after an extended period of illness on Friday, July 24, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Mr. Campbell was an Anderson High School graduate and he retired from Forsyth County. He will be greatly missed by his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Campbell, Sr.; his mother, Annie Graham Campbell; brother, Harry Campbell; and his sister, Margaret Campbell.
Surviving are his wonderful and caring wife of 42 years, Alma Marlin Campbell; his brother, Harry Campbell, Jr.; two sons, Michael (Wendy) Lavon Campbell and David Levon Campbell both of Winston-Salem; four beautiful granddaughters who he adored, Olivia, Hannah, Kimberly, and Wilma Campbell; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11am Tuesday, July 28, 2009 in Piedmont Memorial Gardens with Evangelist Rosetta Marlin-Dennis officiating.
