Mr. William Beaty, 95, died on March 30, 2011. He was born May 17, 1915. He spent many years in Maryland and Georgia before returning to Winston-Salem.
He was first married to Dora Jones Patton who preceded him in death.
From that union he is survived by two daughters, Thelma Reed and Janice Springs; five sons, William, John, Alexander, James, and Paul. He is also survived by two sisters, Nannie Gunning and Teretha Millner.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, April 1, 2011 at St. John CME Church. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Friday at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Meals on Wheels.
