Mr. William Bailey, known to many as "Bill", 60 of the Lutheran Home, 5350 Old Walkertown Rd. went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center. He was life-time native of Winston-Salem, NC and was born July 16, 1948 to William O. and Mable D. Bailey. He was a faithful member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church until his health failed. Bill was a loving and caring person.
He was preceded in death by his father; two sisters, Shelby Douglas and Olivia Douglas; and one niece, Laquanda Douglas.
He is survived by his loving mother, Mable D. Bailey who took well care her son while his health was failing; one sister, Diane (Harold) Carter; two brothers, Donald and Ronald Bailey; one aunt of High Point, NC; two aunts of Winston-Salem, NC; one uncle of Baltimore, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday, July 17, 2009 from the Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. James F. Linville officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2pm on Friday at the Church.
