Obituary
William Hazel Anderson, Sr., affectionately known as "Willie", 68, departed this life on December 7, 2011. He was born to the late Robert A. Dunlap and Albertine Johnson.
Educated in the York, SC public schools, he moved to W-S, NC where he honed the talents of a skilled butcher worked at the 5th Street Meat House for more than 17 years. Willie was a faithful member of Alpha and Omega Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and was a member of the Gospel Choir.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Lee Anderson; and siblings Annette Jones, Leon Johnson, and Arthur Lee Anderson.
He leaves to cherish fond memories a devoted friend and life companion Annie Smith; his daughters, Brenda (Curtis) Martin, Tracy Green, and Christine Anderson; his son, William H. (Christon) Anderson Jr.; four brothers; three sisters-in-law; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Mercy Seat Holy Church, 145 Pinetree Rd. W-S, NC. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
