Mr. William Sherrill Anderson, 84, affectionately known as"Warsaw", was called to his eternal home on Thursday, September 13, 2012 atKate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after a lengthy illness.
He was born to Uncola Anderson Blakely and John Lord on October 16,1927 in Lexington, NC.
Warsaw was a graduate of Dunbar High School and he served in the USArmy from 1950 – 1956 and was a War World II Veteran.
He was a devoted member of Union Baptist Church, Lexington, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Emma Blakely Cole;two brothers, Calvin and Billy Blakely; and one grandson.
Warsaw leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Angie AndersonThompson of Winston-Salem, NC and Kathy D. Allen of Baltimore, MD; one son,John Dennard Clark of Midway, NC; one brother-in-law, Charles Cole ofSouthmont, NC; two devoted nieces, Debera Cole Jones and Garnetta Blakely ofLexington, NC; four grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm Monday, September 17, 2012at Union Baptist Church, 110 Lincoln Ave., Lexington, NC with Rev. Darrell Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park,Lexington, NC. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm onMonday at the Church.
The family wishes to thank thestaff at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice & Palliative Care Center for their lovingcare as well as the staff of the Lexington Dialysis Unit, Dr. Amret Hawfield,and Tarsha Hall.
