Obituary
Ms. Wilhelmina Anderson Burks, 69, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2007 at the Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center.
She was born September 18, 1938 in Mecklenburg County to Calvin and Maggie Anderson.
She is a United States Air Force Veteran.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara J. Evans and her brother, Otis Anderson.
Ms. Burks is survived by one daughter, Letaunya R. Toomer; devoted granddaughters, Shanna Burks and Sheree Burks; two brothers, Edda C. Anderson and Jimmie Anderson; a niece, Charleator (Carl) Cox; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from the Mount Olive Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Charles E. Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery , Salisbury , NC . The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Monday at the Church.
The family will receive friends all other times at the home of her granddaughter, Sheree Burks, 417 W 24th Street, Winston-Salem , NC .
