Our Heavenly Father called home our beloved Wilhelmena W. Gilliard, 64, of Winston-Salem, NC. She made her transition on Monday, June 15, 2020.

Born in Dillon, SC on January 1, 1956, Wilhelmena was the daughter and eldest of five to Ms. Nora Lee Billings.  Ms. Gilliard was a graduate of the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System from North Forsyth High School.  She later worked for Summit Cable (Time Warner) where she would retire after over 30 years of service.

Affectionately known as "Mena" or "Gill" to some she was known for her giving spirit and always having a SMILE that would light up a room.  There was no conversation that did not include her love for the Lord and her devotion to doing His work. She was a women with class, poise and the epitome of grace she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her two children, Ty M. Gilliard and Deidra R. Gilliard she leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Nora Lee Billings; devoted siblings: Diane Billings, Herbert Williams, Anna Haizlip and Gene Autry Billings, Jr. all of Winston Salem, NC; and  a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A viewing will be held from 12:00pm until 5:00pm Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Russell Funeral Home.

Private graveside services will be held Monday, June 22, 2020.
