Obituary

Wesley was born October 30, 1953 in Winston-Salem, NC to Mary Etta Frazier Kirby.  He departed this life on Sunday, November 19, 2023 after an extended illness.  He was the oldest of three siblings and was an energetic, hardworking, and industrious youngster.  He graduated from North Forsyth High School in 1972. He obtained an Associates Degree from Forsyth Technical Community College and completed additional coursework at North Carolina State University.  He worked for the Bahnson Company for 46 years as a designer in the engineering department, retiring in 2019.

Wesley was very involved in the community.  He had many bowling affiliations with local, regional, and national leagues as a member and officer.  He supported several sports teams, Winston-Salem State Rams; National Bowling Association, Inc. as a field representative and parliamentarian. In all of these organizations, he gave special attention to the youth in supporting their events and contributing to college scholarships.  His favorite professional teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Atlanta Braves.

Wesley was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Annie B. Frazier; his sister, Sandra Frazier Stewart; stepfather, Robert Kirby; and his mother-in-law, Nancy Fulp.

Wesley is survived by his loving and very devoted wife, Carol Fulp Frazier; one sister, Patricia Hunter of Winston-Salem, NC; brother, Michael Kirby of South Carolina; father-in-law, Theodore Fulp; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Hernandez of Clayton, NC and Shirley Fulp-Causer of Winston-Salem, NC; fifteen nephews and nieces; several great-nephews and nieces including Camryn, Cailyn, and Torren for whom he assisted with daily care and support; Wesley had a host of special and devoted friends including Bernard Edmunds, Mike Fagg, Tommy Pegram, Alfred Crump, Wilma Boyd, Carl Miller, Ernestine Crawford, and many, many others who deserve to be recognized.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Monday, November 27, 2023 at Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Victor Bartley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai/Fulp Family Cemetery, Belews Creek, NC. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Monday at the Church.
