Mrs. Wendy Lasonya Samuels was born to Mattie Samuels and the late Richard Hyman on October 23, 1961. She departed this life on Sunday, January 14, 2018.
She attended WS/FC Schools and she graduated from R. J. Reynolds High School. She also attended Forsyth Technical Community College where she received Degrees in Computer Science and Computer Technology. She was an associate at Walmart Inc. She was raised at Macedonia Worship Center where she sang on the Youth Choir, was active in Sunday School, and other church activities. She lived, laughed and enjoyed life to the fullest. There was never a dull or boring moment when she was around; she always brought laughter to those around her. She Loved being with family and children. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Hyman; and sister, Stephaine Samuels. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her mother, Mattie Samuels; her daughter, Lasonya Samuels (her Pride & Joy) seven sisters, Karen Samuels, Marilyn Samuels (Maurice) Jackson, Regina (Denise) Webb, Pamela Samuels, Sherrill Lash, Jill (Jessie) Grant and Carol Samuels; three brothers, Fredrick Samuels, Stephen Samuels and Russell Danials; two aunts, Bertha Higgins and Helen Slade; two uncles, Thomas (Sarah) Samuels and William Hyman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Macedonia Worship Center with Bishop Stephon Samuels officiating. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12:30pm on Saturday at the Church.
