Warren Renwick was born October 10, 1939 in Winston-Salem, NC. He was one of nine children of the late Luther Renwick and Catherine Renwick. Warren departed this earthly life on September 2, 2020. Warren attended Sunday School, B.T.U., and many other church activities at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC. He received his education in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public School System.
After the death of his father, Warren and the family relocated to Baltimore, MD. He continued his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. Warren was a graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School.
After high school, Warren enlisted in the US Army for a term of four years, where he served his country honorably. Upon his discharge from the US Army, Warren married the love of his life, Patricia, whom he loved with all his heart.
Warren enjoyed all types of sports and he loved to travel, of course with Pat. He was a member of Salem Lodge #139 (PM).
In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by his sister, Artanzia R. Jones; sister, Rosalie; and seven brothers, Marshall, Luther, Roosevelt, John, James, George, and Walter Renwick.
Cherishing precious memories are Warren's wife of 55 years, Patricia; sister, Ella Nellums of Philadelphia, PA; sister, Evelyn R. Foster; his loving, special half nurse and half niece, Marlene F. (Duckett) Jones; two aunts, Esther Hudson of Baltimore, MD and Gloria (Alfred) Price of Washington, DC; his niece, Michelle Thorton and his precious grand-niece, Princess Rachael Thorton of Philadelphia, PA; niece, Marion J. Mims and niece, Kathleen Smith; niece, Sonia Young; extended family, little brother-Edward Ashley "BroBro" Lewis better known to Deacon Renwick as "Player Player", Jeanette T. "Queen" Lewis, Rayonette Crowder, and Flonnie (Rudy) Anderson; Barry & Cathy Maynor of Baltimore, MD, Bruce & Mia Maynor of South Carolina; Eric & Phillis Maynor of Baltimore, MD, Jean (Dean) Dukes of Baltimore, MD, Sandy Vigil, Marjorie Plowden (Mr. Renwick was her bodyguard), and a host of loving relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Russell Funeral Home. Private services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will be held Friday, September 11, 2020 in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
