Wanda Lee Harris, 52, passed away peacefully November 14, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Health surrounded by her family.
Born in Chicago, IL and raised in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Fisher Pone, Sr. and Betty Jean Shepherd.
Wanda was a gentle hearted and devoted mother and sister. She was a fun and good natured Godly woman and her spirit will last in the hearts of those she touched forever.
Wanda was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Shepherd; grandchildren, Isaiah Lee Rhynes, Capone Beasley, and Xzavier Beasley; and her friend, Henry Shepherd.
She leaves behind to mourn her three children, Takeena Pone, Dawayne Pone, and Henry Shepherd; grandchildren, Cameron Pone and Dawayne Pone, Jr.; fiancé, Bryan Rivers; siblings, Maria "Pea" Pennix, Fisher "Twin" Pone, Jr., Renee Allen, James Lee Pone, Walter N. Pone, and Jefferey Shepherd; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Jetter officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 1pm until 2pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
