Mr. Walter Roosevelt Myers, 66 of 4035 Yarbrough Avenue passed away Wednesday morning, October 28, 2009 at his home following an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of the city. He was a member of St. Peters World Outreach Center and a retired EMT for Forsyth County Ambulance Service and T.J.C. Barber Shop where he was the owner.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy H. Myers; three sons, Darrel, Gerry (Gardenia) , and Jonathan (Shauntaye) Myers; two daughters, Crystal (William) Fultz and Tiffani (Benjamin) Richardson; 8 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Mary James, Dorothy Watts, Shirley Conrad, and Gloria (Jerry) George; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, November 2, 2009 from the St. Peters World Outreach Center with Bishop J. C. Hash officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from Noon until 1pm on Monday at the Church.
