Walter Lee Hardison's Obituary
Mr. Walter Lee Hardison of 830-L West 14th Street went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 6, 2007. He was born on May 30, 1942 in Winston-Salem, NC, the son of Walter Marshal Hardison and Ida Mae Clowney Hardison. Walter attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School and retired as a construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Hiawatha Hardison.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted mother, Ida Mae Clowney Hardison; a daughter, Yvette Johnson; two grandchildren, Lachic Johnson (Papa) Mbengue and Antoine Johnson; four great grandchildren, Dequante' Johnson, Diamon Dashay, Antione Johnson, Jr., Andala Mbengue; a devoted sister, Celestine Hardison; devoted aunt, Dorothy Parrott; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2007 at 12:00 NOON from the Chapel of the Russell Funeral Home with the Reverend William Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be from 11:30 AM until 12:00 NOON on Monday at the funeral home.
