Wallace Lee Jackson, affectionately known as "Mumpsy" & "Deuce", passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2020. Wallace was born December 7, 1956 in Winston-Salem, NC. He attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, served in the US Army, and was currently employed with Aramark Food Service.
Wallace was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Eloise Price and father, Elder Floyd J. Jackson both of the city; aunt, Viola Hairston; three sons, Christopher (Mia) Bishop of McDonough, GA, Wallace Eugene Bishop and Damion Bishop both of the city; two daughters, Meoshia Elder and Shadae Bishop both of the city; three grandsons, Isaiah, Jaleel, and Elijah all of McDonough, GA; six sisters, Yolanda (Johnny) Blakes, Cassandra (Daryl) Jackson-Glenn both of the city, Valda D. Jackson-Jones of Charlotte, NC, Sophia Jackson, Aurenee McCall, and Tia (Lamont) Cain of the city; two brothers, Ramar Jackson and Floyd J. Jackson, III of the city; a devoted friend, Charlotte Crawford of the city; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Private services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2020. Burial will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
