Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 - To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven; a time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted. That season and time came for Virginia Williams on Tuesday, March 18, 2008. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Ms. Williams was the second child born to Dorcy and Edna Mae Daniels. She was affectionately called Gin, Ginny, and Snapper by family and friends. She was born and raised in Florence, SC and after high school; she relocated to Newark, NJ. Ms. Williams resided in New Jersey for most of her adult life and later relocated to Creedmoor, NC.
She was employed by John Umstead Hospital and retired after 20 years of faithful service. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Creedmoor, NC. Virginia was a quiet, soft-spoken person with a beautiful smile. She was loved by everyone she met and she will solely be missed. She will be remembered as a person with a great sense of humor and joviality.
Ms. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and a brother.
Virginia leaves to cherish her fond memories six sisters, a devoted sister Pearlie Coleman (Arthur), Vivian Daniels, Clementine Moseley, Pansy Daniels, and beloved Dorothy Daniels all of Winston-Salem, NC, Shirley Bailey, Concord, NC; two brothers, Pastor Howard Daniels (Cathie), Kernersville, NC and Edward Daniels of Winston-Salem, NC; five nieces, three nephews, two great-nieces, three great-nephews; a devoted friend, Thomas Cheatham; one goddaughter, Lyn (Eric); two god-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
