Mrs. Virginia Posey Royal of Springwood Care Center departed this life on Friday, November 13, 2009.
She was born December 16, 1920 in Abbeville, SC to George and Arrie Posey. She attended the local schools of SC before moving to Winston-Salem, NC in 1939 where she was employed by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Mrs. Royal was a member of Prince of Peace Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Royal; and a host of siblings.
Left to cherish her memories are a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday, November 20, 2009 from the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend C.P. Griggs officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11am on Friday at the funeral home.
