Virginia Pearl Milton Harrison was born May 14, 1929 in Rockingham Co., NC to Mattie Pinnix & John Chester Milton. She departed this life on July 8, 2014.


Virginia was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Pinnix Milton; father, John Chester Milton; sister, Delilah Mae Milton; son, Minister Robert Harrison, Sr.; and the very recent loss of her beloved husband of 67 years, Thomas Harrison, Sr.

Virginia was a family oriented mother that loved and cherished her nine boys and one girl. She leaves to cherish her memory her remaining nine children, Thomas Harrison Jr. (Barbara), Chester L. Harrison Sr. (Gwendolyn), Paul E. Harrison Sr. (Precious), Elder Charles L. Harrison (Vera), Jerry L. Harrison, Adolph E. Harrison (Virginia), Larry L. Harrison Sr. (Edith), Walter "Doug" Harrison Sr. (Lisa), and Evang. Regina "Gina" Linney (George); two sisters, Wilma Blackwell and Delone Neal King (Pastor Robert); two brothers, John Neal Jr. (Loretta) and RJ Neal (Rose); 47 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. Virginia also leaves to cherish her memory her sitter who has been like a daughter for 40 years, Rayponzia (Tweet) Murphy.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Benaja Mt. Zion Holiness Church of God, Inc. 600 McWalker Rd. Reidsville, NC. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Congregational Church Cemetery, McLeansville, NC. The family visitation will be held from 1pm until 2pm on Saturday at the Church.
