Virginia G. Brown of 4092 Edgeware Road went to be with our heavenly Father on May 19, 2010. She was born on February 23, 1938 to the late Rex and Mary Goins of Galax, VA. Mrs. Brown was a retiree of Sara Lee Knitwear and a member of St. Peters World Outreach Center.
Surviving are her two daughters and two sons, Cecil Brown of Walkertown, NC, Charlotte (Larry) Peterson of Winston-Salem, NC, Rex (Karen) Brown of Stanleyville, NC, and Chauncey (Teresa) Brown of Lewisville, NC; she is also survived by five devoted granddaughters, Tinika Brown, Montise Brown, Chrishana Carter, Alexis Brown, and Madison Brown; four great-grandchildren, Tayana Wilds, Jacob Brown, Christin Wilds, and Lauren Monroe; one nephew, Reverend John Choate, Jr.; three nieces, Vanessa Jones, Wilma Robinson, and Lisa Goins; a special friend, Christopher M. Carter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Monday, May 24, 2010 at St. Peters World Outreach Center with Bishop James C. Hash, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Goins Cemetery in Galax, VA. The family will receive friends from 11:30am until 12noon on Monday at the Church.
