Victor Deleaney Jordan, second born child of Cornelius and Lula Belle Jordan entered heaven's gates on Sunday, February 28, 2021 after a mighty battle with the ravaging effects of lung cancer.

Born in Pollocksville, North Carolina on January 4, 1949, he received his schooling in the Jones County School System and graduated from Jones High School with honors in 1967. He matriculated at Duke University and Malcolm X Liberation University in Durham, NC .

He and his beloved wife of over 50 years, Imani Hollins Jordan raised three sons, Waikene (Cheryl), Mawingu, and Eusi (Lisa), and were blessed to enjoy doting on 10 beautiful grandchildren.

The bulk of his professional career was spent as an Electrician Supervisor at R J Reynolds Company in Winston- Salem where he was a respected leader.

Victor was a dedicated member of Union Baptist Church, where Bishop Sir Walter Mack, is Sr. Pastor. He served in many capacities but his greatest joy was as Scout Leader and mentor where he helped develop his scouts from "Boys to Men."

In addition to his immediate family, he leaves to mourn his loss, six siblings, and a host of extended family members, classmates and friends. What a blessing his life has been to all who knew and loved him.

A public viewing will be on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 1-6pm. at Russell Funeral Home. A homegoing celebration will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 privately at Union Baptist Church. Covid safety protocols will be observed including social distancing and mask wearing. Interment will be 1:00pm on Tuesday March 9, 2021 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens
