Vickie Lynn Cummings was born October 18, 1960 to Oscar L. Hines, Sr. and Betty Brown Hines. She departed this life on January 28, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. Vickie was educated in the Forsyth County School System and the Philadelphia School System; she retired from working in the banking industry in Atlanta, GA in 1990.
She was preceded in death by her sister Daphne Hines; grandparents, Ethel P. Brown and Ransom Brown, Sr., Suevary Hines and Wilson Hines.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her son, Brandon James Cummings of Atlanta , GA ; her parents, Betty Brown Hines of the home and Oscar L. Hines, Sr. of Winston-Salem, NC; brothers, Oscar Jr. (Willette) of Goldsboro, NC and Sean of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jimmy Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 12 noon until 1 pm Friday at the chapel.
