EIT Veronica "Auntie Runt" Yvonne Johnson was born on February 21, 1949 to the late Ethel Kitt Johnson-Jones, born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  She was the sixth of seven children. EIT Johnson was a product of the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School system.

She had a heart for people, which drew many people into her life.  Veronica enjoyed cooking and working with children.  Her greatest joy was serving as the leader of Feed Our Guest and the Foodbank at her church, Greater Tabernacle Worship Center.

EIT Veronica Yvonne Johnson was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Kitt Johnson-Jones; three

sisters, Apostle Brenda J. McCloud, Betty Ann Smith and Lynette Tanya Johnson; and two brothers,

Alfonzo Johnson and James Johnson.

EIT Johnson leaves a legacy of love to her husband of 39 years, Roger Johnson; two daughters, Tammy Brown (Harry Jr.) and Tamika Johnson; four sons, Chris Johnson, Roger Lamont Johnson, Rahaeim Johnson and Kendu Johnson; eight grandchildren, Harry Brown III (Haley), Jasmine Brown, Adrian

Johnson, Decarlos "DJ" Davis Jr., Diamond Davis, Princess Davis, A'Blessing Johnson, and Kendu

Johnson Jr.; one great grandchild, Nola Rae "Toot Toot" Brown; two sisters, Bertia Banner and Rose Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends  and church family.  EIT Johnson will be truly missed!

Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Fresh Fire Worship Center with Bishop Phillip G. McCloud officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Wednesday at the Church.
